Explore Our SENSORY ROOM:
Welcome to Chillville!
The sensory room’s mission is to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every child can KNOW Jesus, GROW in the Bible, and LOVE people—regardless of their abilities or needs.
What is it?
The sensory room is for children with special needs, sensory issues or need special accommodations.
The sensory room provides an adapted learning environment and teachings to accommodate all children.
How we do this:
Play with Purpose
Our room is filled with thoughtfully chosen toys and activities designed to encourage play, learning, sensory exploration, and emotional regulation. Through purposeful play, children can engage, discover, and grow in a way that supports their individual needs.
Adapted Bible Curriculum & AAC Support
We use an adapted Bible curriculum with visual supports and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) tools connected to each week’s Bible story. This helps children engage with God’s Word in meaningful, accessible ways and participate at their own level.
A Welcoming Environment
Our space is intentionally designed with sensory-friendly equipment, visual supports, and an incredible team of volunteers who help create a calm, safe, and welcoming environment where every child can feel valued, supported, and like they belong.
Our Sensory Room is located in our kid’s ministry wing, Classroom Number 2.
If you feel your child could benefit from this type of environment, we would love to connect with you.
Please fill out our Child Intake Form so our team can learn more about your child and follow up with you to help create the best possible experience for your family.
We Need Help!
We’re looking for caring, patient volunteers to help create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where every child can belong and experience the love of Jesus.
Serving in the Sensory Room may look a little different than a traditional classroom—but don’t let that scare you. You don’t need to be an expert. We’ll provide support, resources, and a team around you. If you have a caring heart and a willingness to love kids well, you can make a huge difference.
Volunteer in Our Sensory Room!
What serving in the sensory room might look like:
Welcome & Connection
Greet children and families warmly, assist with check-in, and help children transition into the room in a gentle and supportive way.
Play & Engagement
Spend time playing, connecting, and encouraging children through calm, purposeful activities at each child’s pace.
Worship & Bible Time
Participate alongside children during adapted worship and Bible story time by modelling simple engagement and encouragement.
Activities & Creativity
Help children participate in sensory-friendly crafts and hands-on activities that meet a variety of needs and abilities.
