JAMES: Wise in faith, Strong in Action | Week 3: Doers of the Word

Scripture: James 1:22–25

One of the wildest and maybe scariest truths is that we could sit, listen and listen and know the truth and yet remain unchanged. James calls us to become doers of the Word—people who allow God’s truth to shape our habits, words, and choices. God is looking for obedient, ready to act, followers who want to act on the truth, not sit idle on the truth.

- What truth have I heard but not acted on?..

- A better question might be, why haven’t I acted on it?

- What’s one, small step of obedience I can take this week to be a “doer” not just a “hearer” of the word?
