2025 BOARD NOMINEES
BENNET AWUME
Bennet is a Geo-Environmental Engineer and business leader who has been part of Elim Church for the past 15 years, serving on the media production team. He and his wife Obadiah, who serves on the worship team, are blessed with two wonderful boys. Both originally moved to Saskatoon from Ghana for graduate studies at different times and, through the leading of the Holy Spirit, chose to make Elim Church their home, where they continue to serve joyfully and wholeheartedly.
OJIE JACOBS -AJOBORU
Ojie Jacobs-Ajoboru has been deeply involved in the Elim community since 2018 where she serves in both kids ministry and on the Prayer and Spiritual Care teams. She has been married for 17 years, is a mother of three, and is currently completing her final year of Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan. With a deep love for the next generation, Ojie co-runs an annual summer Bible camp for children called GenerationNext and coordinates a prayer ministry called When Women Pray, which exists to raise a generation of women who are hungry for God, spiritually alert, and intentional in their Christian walk.
MARK EMDE
Mark Emde and his wife, Nancy, have been part of Elim Church for 15 years. Mark currently serves on the Board of Deacons and works in Business Development and Dealer Recruitment for a multinational company. He has three grown children and six grandchildren.
Previously, Mark served on staff at Elim as Pastor of Pastoral Care, overseeing visitation, the Board of Elders, and the Classic Service. His ministry experience includes roles as a Global Worker in Asia, Regional Director for Indo Asia, President of Horizon College & Seminary, and more than 10 years in Relief & Development. He has also served at Elim as a small group leader, and member of the Prayer Team and Building Committee.
TERRY SHULTZ
Terry Shultz has called Elim Church home for over 69 years. For more than 50 of those years, he has poured his heart into the music ministry and has also given over two decades of service on the Board of Deacons. Terry has been active in several ministries both at Elim and beyond, always with a desire to build the Kingdom. He currently works as the Facilities Manager at Elim Lodge Inc.
